Crake Valley is a small wooded holiday park and holds the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation. It is situated in an elevated position above Coniston Water, with views of the Old Man of Coniston and surrounding fells.
The Steam Gondola on Lake Coniston is a popular trip during April to October. Enjoy the former house of Beatrix Potter at Hill Top, Hawkshead.
The park is an ideal base for touring the southern lakes, with all main attractions within easy reach. A visit to The World of Beatrix Potter at Bowness on Windermere will bring all her characters to life. In Ulverston is the Lakes Aquarium which has over 30 natural themed habitats.
