Ashlea Pools Country Park is set in one of the most beautiful, tranquil parts of south Shropshire and holds the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation.
The park is surrounded by rolling hills, picturesque valleys and many places of interest. An ideal centre for walking, exploring the market towns of Ludlow, Church Stretton, Bishop's Castle and historic Shrewsbury.
If Shropshire's 32 castle do not satisfy your thirst for history you can step back in time at the Ironbridge Gorge where you can explore the birth of the Industrial Revolution in no fewer than ten museums, and life at the turn of the twentieth century is fascinatingly recreated at Blists Hill Open Air Museum (30 miles). Acton Scott (9 miles).
Relax and watch the wild birds and waterfowl on the lake. For anglers, Ashlea Pools Country Park has a small Carp fishing lake.
